Yea! Radio Shack have a lot of good scanner, But? Why buy when you can get this for free?. Any States County and City... Sometimes I just log in to hear what going on you can surff the web or doing any work on your computer and still listen to it Pretty neat..

Scanning is dead

There are still some channels that transmit in analog but it's shrinking. Eventually everything will go digital. Even if no encryption is done, a scanner that decodes all those different standards will need major CPU horsepower.
