These come on the market so often, but it bears repeating. Good bang-for-the-buck players. Best feature is the microSD expansion. Don't expect good video playback. Throw Rockbox onto it immediately. Now Rockbox supports both v1 and v2 players. Batteries are user-replaceable - unlike the iPod nano that requires soldering skills. My one major quibble: headphone jack on the top (I prefer it on the bottom).

Agree, great player for the price. I put all my cd's onto mine. I leave it in my car all the time.

Wanted to add: with Rockbox you can turn off the annoying wheel light...but you might actually like it - in which case you can set it to be on all the time!

You need fingernails to push the buttons.

I got one of these in 2GB, Version 1, a couple years ago and Rockboxed it. Works great, but the scroll wheel design is flakey. Would have been way better if they didn't try to be fancy and just used buttons. Love the removable battery capability (altho' to be honest I haven't had to replace it yet), and the microSD expandability. With Rockbox you can read high capacity cards. Video maxes out at 15fps.

Get the Fuze refurb instead, also often available at Newegg, or buy.com for the same price.
