I believe this is the same picture frame.

The native resolution appears to be 640x480. Any comments on whether this is high enough for a 7" screen?

why the heck are these so expensive? you can get a DVD player with a 7" screen for less than this, and that is WAY more complicated that these frames....

something new on a market.
I like it,
but as everything new its more expensive now then it will be later.

I'm with #5 minkia38. Why are digital photo frames so expensive? They are not new to the market - 4 years at least. They are so expensive that almost no-one buys them. The resolutions are poor by today's standards. That's a killer especially with everyone seeing HD everywhere. Looking at some DPF's displays is a joke. I've looked at a lot of them thinking they'd make good family gifts. I see DPF's for less than baconsavvy people who don't use computers a lot. So they need to be easy to use. Many do a poor job of orientating portrait and landscape photos. Or zooming in or out to fill the screen. These are one product-type you need to see in-person to tell if you'll like it. And sometimes the fake wood or plastic frame is the cheeziest part.

WHy would a "geek" website NOT post the tech specs on this frame? I think it's because the specs are not very impressive. Most "no name" brand lcd picture frames have a resolution around 480x234 - which is LOW. So the image is grainy. Some DO have good resolution - like the Philips LCD frame, which are 640x480 and 800x600.

I'm waiting for the eStarling 7" photo frame to come down in price. It supports Flickr RSS photo feeds... now how cool would that be?? Still $250 a pop though...
