Do people still use Norton?
http://buy.norton.com/estore/mf/productDetails/categoryCode/Macintosh_Sub_Category/productShortName/norton-antivirus-mac/productSkuCode/12067407/priceGroupId/10/
"Works with new Mac OS® X v10.5 (Leopard)" HaHa..
#1 No, that is why it is 15% off.
I use the Web site, virustotal.com and when I upload infected files there, the Symantec software ALWAYS says the file is clean. Considering this and all the garbage Norton/Symantec installs with their software, it amazes me they can remain in business. Their customer base must all be over 60-years-old.
First thing when I set up a friends or family computer is to remove Norton if they have it.
..
Stumpy nailed this one -REMOVE. Do NOT run Norton OR McAfee.
Both are resource hogs and bloatware.
Say NO to any AV that charges- and auto charges your CC yearly!
that is why it is 15% off.
Yeah, I've become totally disenchanted with Norton. Check out Vipre, Kaspersky, or Bit Defender.
