specs arent too bad, i agree its not a panasonic ... too bad i cant see it in person now, or if i saw it and it looked comparable to a panasonic, i'd jump on this

The price is right but I've heard nothing really good about Polaroid as far as TV's go. I am not saying this out of personal experience but I've often been tempted to buy one (until a co-worker or family member tells me not to).

judging from the reviews, you get what you pay for

Yep. All my buying decisions are made based on wether or not my friends approve. I was about to get this but my freinds said they would laugh at me if I did. It's uncanny, it's like they actually know something when they're together. By themselves they're idiots but put them together and their like a bunch of vulcans. Vulcans that laugh.

Seriously though, it's probably not that good.

When I take it out of the box, will I have to shake it and let it sit for a minute before the picture becomes clear?

Ouch. But it's admirable that you came to hd11's defense.

For some reason. Wink

Krusty - Your post made me laugh when you said "it's like they actually know something when their together."

Here's a perfect demotivator for your group --> http://demotivators.stores.yahoo.net/idiocy.html

I'm sure you'll get a laugh out of this too.

Ochophosphate - ROFL ... that's all I can say.

In terms of Polaroid as a brand, I think you definitely get what you pay for, if you want the Panasonic, buy it and don't settle for less. $1000 is too much to spend on something that you're not going to be 100% happy with. This TV is a few hundred dollars less than other merchants, but the price will drop after Christmas is over to keep people buying. I'd wait on this one.

Hey, I don't know about anybody else, but I sure as heck don't want to be reading about your sex life here on Ben's Bargains, a family run and oriented web site, devoted to the American ideals of truth, justice, and the American way !!!

...unless you have pictures.

....with my mom ?

....I do.
