Thirty Five hours to charge it from a USB port? Does it have a charge controller, or does it trickle a microamp until the battery swells just enough to nudge a reed switch?
I bought this a while back it wouldn't charge anymore after a week...solar or AC adapter didn't charge it. I couldn't return it either since the seller wouldn't respond.
Something is definitely fishy about the charge times. 3.5 hours rather than 35 hours over USB is "almost" possible, well in theory it is possible if it had a step down switching supply to increase current from 5V input but that's doubtful at this price point.
The tiny solar array looks too small to be able to charge this in 10-15 hours. Maybe 15 hours of peak sunlight an hour a day over 15 days if there were no losses.
Full charging time: 10-15 hours via Solar Power, 35 hours via USB port or AC/DC adapter
