May not be Monster, but who here spends Mercedes money on AV equipment? No many, if any.

monoprice.com beats this price and has great quality cables.

i'd go to bluejeanscable.com i'd say it's better than monstercable at waaay cheaper pricing. Fatty cables for the price!

At first i was skeptical about these generic branded or no brand HDMI accessories, but after buying a DVI to HDMI converter and an HDMI cable to connect to my plasma hdtv, i was amazed. I did not notice any differences between these generic and those of "MONSTER" cable. The DVI2HDMI and the HDMI cable cost me 10 bucks, while the "Monster" branded DVI2HDMI converter cost $30

For anolog signals, the cable quality matters (like composite or component).
For a digital signal, it does not matter. All the transformations are being done as 0s and 1s. As long as the signal reaches, it is good.
