OK One of my HP printers is on its last legs so I am looking for a new printer. I like the idea of not paying big bucks for print carts. I see these Canon compatible all of the time. Can you still buy Canon printers that use these? Are these inks any good?
Canon printers, like mine, that use these use a chip built into the cartridges to know if it's "genuine" or not. I forget the problems with using these, but I remember after reading up on it that is was worth the money to just buy genuines. Also, be careful with some of these retailers descriptions. Some don't come with the chip at all, requiring you to remove the chip from the original cartridges and jury-rigging it to these. Other times, it comes with a chip, but the printer immediately recognizes it as a knock off.
I haven't purchased ink from ABC Ink before, but I'm willing to give it a try at this price. I've used BCI-6 compatible inks in my S9000 before and never had a problem.

#1, You'll have a hard time finding a printer that uses this ink, you have to go back 3+ years because everything after that uses the chips. You may want to look into chip reseters, that is the route I'm looking into after my 7 year old canon s900 died (which did use these cartridges
