Bought some of these last time around in anticipation of a group camping trip. Wasn't expecting much but they were really bright. The kids loved them and I place them throughout the house because of the convenient size. Good deal at this price.
A few days ago Ben posted a deal for a 1 watt Luxeon flashlight at Lowes. There may still be some available in-store. They are plastic and run on 3 included Duracell AA bateries. They cost $2.50/each. I picked up 5 to have around the house for power outages.
Ben, I need a handfree flashlight. Thanks!
These are really bright but I think the 20 hours they claim is not real.
It looks exactly like the $5 led flashlight at the dollar store.
I bought a few of these in the past...the flashlights are really bright. I got batteries from Batteries.com and they were not worth the money (for the batteries).
#2, how long does the 1W Luxeon flashlights last on 3 AA's?
The lowes flashlights were awesome for $2.50/each.
#7, the Lowe's 1W Luxeon is unregulated so the LED will just dim over time. Flashlightreviews.com has a review on a very similar flashlight (except it was AAAs) that measured 50% brightness after an hour and 25% brightness after 4 hours. So with AAs expect to probably about double those times.
#7: having shopped for these (and the adapter versions) a bunch of times before, i have et to find them for .50 - even at good ol' target...
Nothing beats my PETZL LED head lamp. How about a few good deals on those???
Perfect for my ipod, thanks Ben!
