These are not your daddy's fireplace lighters. They do perform as torches. And I like that they are refillable. Only downside is there is not a sight window for fuel level.
Other downside. Worked well for about 3-6 months, kept outside with the grill. Now it flows butane, but not at the rate it did (less like a torch - more like a candle), and it has to be lit manually - which defeats the purpose, no?
Attention sadists bargain hunters: Great for burning ants on a sidewalk...
