Personally I like the high frustration packaging, since it normally means a completely sealed plastic clamshell. There's less chance of random problems like a seller return being resold as new, it's sealed from the elements on the boat ride over to the states and while it sits on your porch (in case your package gets rained on), and there's less chance a rogue employee snuck the product out of a box and replaced it with a rock... though that's applicable to more expensive products, I doubt many people go to any trouble to steal a HDMI cable unless they're power shoplifters that take the whole package.
