#15 these for clocks and remotes? Not! They will go flat in no time. Eneloops will work for that. Spend a fortune? When you see how long these last you will realize cheap doesn't mean a bargain..

Rechargeable batteries vary so much in quality that I'd stick with well known brands only.

Great posts. Wish I had read them before I bought a bunch of crap off Ebay. Half of the two dozen batteries (2600 mAh advertised) will not hold a charge at all. Even my wireless thermometer bleeds them dry in a day...I hate Ebay. And Chinese junk. Oh, and when waiters squat down next to the table like we're best friends already. I really hate that.

That might be fine for most electronics using 1A or less. But my Pentax K100D can suck up to 2A, and it just doesn't cut it.

In short, what I wrote was correct and industry proven, go argue with the entire world because any google search will prove it.

The one exception is your particular camera. If it is especially strange about battery power, we can ignore it's response except for users who have it, in which case data about it is very valuable.

I was not taking issue with any technical facts.
I was taking major issue with the term "senseless."

I still see about 1 in 10 NiMH batteries "partial charge" when they are not drained with every charger, especially quick chargers. With a "partial charge," that can be a major issue when the current draw is high, and one NiMH in the serial circuit isn't pulling its own weight.
