#2, the difference between +R and -R is mostly technical. From the users point of view:
-R are slightly cheaper
-R have a bit better compatibility with standalone players
-R holds few (~10?) MB more of data
+R has better error correction
I use -R.
Same price as Sam's Club, except you get 50 for $60 and pay tax.
