Will you use every single piece next week? Probably not. Will you use every single piece in your lifetime? Possibly not, but you will probably use most of the pieces eventually and by buying a larger set you don't pay any more than you would (for same quality and relative deal price) buying a smaller set then another and another set or piece as needed.
I don't own this great a variety of groove or slip joints and long necks but all the rest I use several times a year just for maintenance/home/auto repair type stuff and hobbies.
However, I don't think I'd buy a set this size and price that doesn't have box joints, especially on the needle nose, 3 smallest pliers, and the smaller wire cutter which ends up meaning about half the set, and for this many pieces to have nearly the same sizes in more than one box or groove joint but not a pair of fine/long (thinner and longer than this set has) tipped mini needle nose piers seems a bad omission... and yet the quality on that piece is arguably most important so the tip always lines up after wear, it might be worth buying separately.
Looks like just the thing for that special sociopath in your life.
I think I need to stop watching so many movies...
Seriously - who needs 20 pair of pliers? (I mean besides the Philippines Air Force).
overkill?
nice little set

#2, #3 mechanics needs those...the more tools the easier the job. I have more than $20,000 in tools and I am still buying more
Perfect for the Obamacare denstists that can no longer afford a sterilization tank.
