Protection against wind? Where do they think people will carry 200 discs to? Hurricane?
Even album books provide protection against wind, dirt and dust.

The 900-disc case appears to be the best value, but it looks like it's sold out at the moment:

This is for people, paranoid about backups. "You never have enough back-ups." BTW, not a bad adage.

#3, hi, I am not sure I agree with you about the cost.
I can buy CMC (in-house brands of Staples etc.) for about 20 cents each when they are on sale. So say 500GB/4.5GB=112 discs. It costs about 112*$0.20=$23. I don't think you can buy a 500GB HD for that price. In addition, HD can crash and many people prefer the non-crashable fixed media.

Discs are old school, but many DJ's still use these type of cases to carry their CD collection around. Funny how discs are old school, I wonder where that leaves vinyl records? LOL

For a photographer this isn't bad. I'm planning on shooting over 100 events next year (and it's my side gig) so disc can add up when you are backing up.

This is quite decent. Not too big, not too small. Not very many people need the 900 capacity one.
