I'm using the Online version because it will do three states in addition to the federal. I live in NY and rent out a house in PA so I needed two states. Last year it made an error with my PA filing. It gave me a "PA Tax Forgiveness" of $20 because of my low PA income. In October I got a letter from PA saying I should have used my FULL income not just my PA (rental) income to compute the Forgiveness. Then I would not have been eligible. Thus I owed the $20 + $1.00 penalty + $0.29 interest. I just paid the $21.29.
This year, H&R is doing the same thing again. Using the wrong value for PA income. My emails to them go unanswered.
Dont be cheap, you need the Premium edition to do rental properties and get advanced calculations. $22 on Amazon including state.
