Anyone know if they sell this TV in the store? I would like to look first. The rebate doesnt say anything about being online only. It just says "office depot".
is the viewsonic better or worse than the olevia? It does have the plus of an HD tuner

#1 I think you should click on history below the title. This way you can check every discussion on this product. It might take you a little bit of research, but the LCD HDTV has turning off problem. YOu can't turn off unless you pull the power plug. That's why they are selling it fairly inexpensive. Also please do look at the retailer return policy. Othewise, you might stuck will a broken TV with no rebate. The rebate requires org. bar code, but the manufacturer will not accept/grant the warrenty (fix it) if there is a cut out/damaged box.

thanks for the advice
it seems the viewsonic goes on sale at OD all the time, it was $500 two times in january.
I will only buy it if I get a great warranty + price protection from credit card.
I am now leaning towards the olevia 427v (27"), it is now 479.99 with no rebate at OD, hopefully I can get it for 400 soon.
there is also the 337H at frys, 37" for 599.00 with no rebate.
the olevias have better specs than the viewsonic, and many more inputs too.

i've got the 42" syntax olevia and it's beautiful. customer service was pretty good too when i had a small problem with the mobo. they offered to send me a new TV and pick up this one, but i didn't want to deal with it since it's so heavy, so i asked them just to send me the mobo and i was able to easily replace it myself.

This has a power problem that is intermittent. It does not shut off sometimes. I read about it on buy.com reviews, thought it was an isolated incident but its not. Purchased it from Macmall thought they took it back no problems, all of a sudden I get a 15% charge and they charged me for the shipping so I owe $160. Im fighting them now. Beware of buying it online, any problems and your screwed. Anything over 27inches they do not have to take back....Get the Olevia from walmart or costo...I hear its got good reviews.

I buy the 3751 and it has been great! There are about 2-3 people in this board who have been trying to say it has power off problem. I think the problem is not for every unit, just happened to them and they are trying to crap it out for some reason. Reviews at Newegg say many good things about Viewsonic but these people are just trying to ignore the good side. So, to me the Viewsonic is a good buy for the price. Use your own judgement on this board.
