Danger Will Robinson!
Godaddy has an established documented history of stealing domain names from its customers. Avoid them.

They only steal if after you let it expire. They just kind of never notify you that your domain name is about to expire. So if it does expire. They charge you an arm and a leg to get it back.

I don't think so. I have over 10 domain names with godaddy and they always email me within 60 days about the expiration and keep on sending me reminder.
Also, you could set up an auto renew feature, where they charge into your credit cards after expired and they will also send you a reminder everytime no matter what!
