I wish they have the refurbed 50" pixel plus 3 for sale. I guess not too many people are returning those.

WTF this is cheap as shit - I know the horror stories with the Outlet have been well documented here but I would say this is worth the risk.

I ordered a 37" LCD tv from these guys and the only problem seemed to be the shipping. It took 2 weeks to get from the time that I ordered it. The tv looks bran new and is in perfect condition. The warranty is only 90 days so I am really checking it out. So far I have no complaints.

There is no risk. If you end up with a lemon you can bug Philips customer service to either have it returned or replaced at their cost. People have Philips pay shipping to get the item back. Basically you are not going to lose a dime on it. The only thing you need is luck. Some people got good tv on their first try, some on their second. If you're unlucky then you have to do this few more times, if you're willing to go thru with the hassle. If you get a broken remote, keep the whole thing because it's highly probable that the tv works perfectly but got returned because of the broken remote. If the entire thing looks brand new without a scratch, then I'd examine the tv very carefully.
But for the price it can't be beat.

So how do I examine the TV carefully? Can anyone point me to a step-by-step guide?

#9 If you can find a teenager named horndoggy11, get him out of his grandma's basement, he might do it for you for minimum wage.

What new name brand 42" HDTV from a somewhat trustworthy retailer sells for "essentially" the same price as this?
I have seen places sell ones with no speakers and/or they force you to buy all kinds of add ons to actually get the TV (prime example) otherwise they cancel the order.
Just link people and then they will buy the TV you seem so convinced exists.

Philips is a much better company than Samsung. Samsung is selling things just as Hyndai and Kia sell.
