Bought these a while back from Merit Line at 2 for $8 with free shipping. One didn't work right out of the box and the other is a poor excuse for any kind of lighting.

#1, I also got one from Meritline. I think it was a 36-LED variety. About 5 of the LEDs on the thing are dead and about 5 are failing. Other than that, it still works and it was still a good deal, but not GREAT.

Do not base buying decisions on how many LEDs a light has. LEDs vary drasticly in how much light they produce. If it is not marketted using the amount of light given off, then they are just playing games with the customer based on the perception that more LEDs mean more light and that is not necessarily true. I would much prefer one high capacity LED than 100 low capacity LEDs -- The light production between individual LEDs can easily be that different!.

Got this; it works fine, but as reviewed above, the light is not very usable. It needs to be suspended for it to be helpful. If you set it on a table, all that it will do is block your vision.

I bought one for my tent, and it works great. It must be suspended, of course, but that's what one would expect for a camping light.
