Is this dead already?
Searching for the item returns no results, and there are no Oakley Wires for under $140 listed.

Tis is junk. Don't understand why anyone would buy this. Just run down to your Cosco and get real glasses made of glass and metal. They sell Mauii Jim and Seringetti for pretty much the same price. Mauii and Corning are real glasses not crappy chinese plastic.

#5 has obviously never purchased or looked closely at Oakleys, because besides an old old model (Frogskins, I believe), all Oakleys sunglasses are made in the USA. Even more importantly, most sunglasses nowadays are NOT made of glass, for safety reasons. If you want to blast a deal or a manufacturer, at least educate yourself first.

Hey Riuski: "Serengeti sunglasses are made using Serengeti Corning glass formula"
I have no idea what thecherubA is.
I just know i would rather have real sunglasses with lenses made by a real optical company (corning) and yes made of glass you dumbass. You can pay the same price for crap if you want. Hey you can even buy lots of crapy glasses with a bunch of fancy names ie: keneth Cole, Oakley, Calvin Klien, etc. Basically anyname you want stamped on them. Tell me who made the lense.

I'm not sure Oakley falls under the same bracket as Kenneth Cole and other fashion sunglasses. In the past, I have seen reports where Oakley lenses have been highly ranked for their lack of optical distortion and I believe certain oakley frames are popular in US armed forces.
From what I have heard, glass lenses are not as safe. I believe Oakley lenses are certified to withstand high impacts without shattering or causing adverse eye damage to the wearer. I don't know about other brands though.
That said, however, I'm not saying that Oakley makes "teh best" sunglasses ever. I do think they make some quality eyewear.

#15, Probably not even horndoggy is stupid enough not to realize what's happening... Wait, maybe I spoke to fast...
All his posts aren't deleted, unfortunately you can still go into the actual forums area and see the full text, it's only on the 'quick comments' view of the world that his plethora of foul mouthed excrement gets magically transformed into 'Oink'. But I suppose that's what you get when you're an ignorant little shite like him. I bet his last name is 'Cheney'.

#19 - better yet, perhaps horndoggy's comments should be automatically converted into self-degrading comments - the more she/he posts, the more fun we have.
Suggested replacement lines:
"D ick Cheney is awesome. After all, I am a big fan of D ick!"
