    1000mah .... if real they are going to be leaking like crazy.
    I brought some 2600mAh AA but they won't hold the charge if I don't use them.

    #4, Have you ever used rechargable batteries before? NiMh and NiCd batteries lose their charge over time (fairly quickly, about 1% per day). Only the new "LSD" or "Low Discharge" NiMh batteries and LiON batteries will hold their charge for extended periods (months).

    1000 mAh is quite a bit, but you're absolutely right in the fact in that you better need almost all of them all the time, otherwise it's a waste.

    i'd just go with some energiser ones. i bought a knock off brand and they totally swelled. kinda lame and scary.

    I got them last time they were on sale. Good for all the kids toys. For other stuff like camera and remotes, I use Eneloops.
