It's a "Shocker" if this thing stays together more than about 5 min on any real trail.
Haha, the first two Walmart reviewers note that the pedals cracked on them within two months. What a joke!
what an ugly color - definitely a shocker
-- Weight/Smeight. Who cares about the weight?! You're gonna be RIDING IT not carrying it, you doofass. A bike is a bike. Bad pedals? Replace them. They've got to be less than $15 to replace. Does the bike roll when you pedal? Yes. Does it get you where you're going? Yes. Then who really cares?!
-- Back in the 80s I took 10-speed bikes into trails, down patchy hills, thru small streams, skidded the tires on pavement to make black marks, popped wheelies, dropped 'em, & crashed 'em -- all this & back in the 80s with those kinds of bikes & never had problems.
-- You can't tell me that today's bikes are built with less engineering sense. Although, I probably wouldn't spend that much ($80) on a stupid bike. I'd rather pay around $65.
-- Oh, and for those that want to say, "Have you ever tried a $600 bike?" Yes, I have. They're stupid. Cheap bikes and expensive bikes both get you there and both still blow wind in your face when you're peddling. If you got a flat tire it was cuz you stupidly weren't paying attention when you ran over a broken bottle or hit a curb.
Yeah, crap bike for sure. Just about every component on my bike costs more than this whole bike. Good price for a weekend cruise around the neighborhood with the kids. Or buy one to have around when friends come to town.
-- No bike is a crap bike. If you pedal and it get's you there, then it's just as soon as any other bike. There IS no DRASTIC difference between bikes, unless yours is made from recycled bleach bottles or something.
-- If it's got a metal frame then it's strong enough to hold you. Remember metal is stronger than you. I don't care if it's aluminum, steel, or NASA titanium.
-- If it's tires are rubber then they'll get you over the rocks on a dirt road hundreds of times.
-- It's not going to rust. Keep it in you're garage, you doofas.
-- What kind of bike doesn't have these essential elements of quality that make it any worse than any other bike?
-- All bikes are GENERALLY the same! THEY GET YOU THERE!
#6, thanks for holding yourself back.
two in the pink one in the stink.
You cant carry a chick with your stupid $600 bike while i can place a pig on that one that i paid less than $60. Its just a bike, and you are not a bike athlete for cry out loud.
This kind.
LMAO #7.
You must have looked real cool doing all that stuff.
MikeS you are a complete MORON!!! If a bike is just a bike, I would like to see Lance Armstrong win a Tour De France with this piece of CRAP!!!
sansa killer
lance armstrong has one giant testicle
#13: Lance Armstrong DID win the tour w/ this bike. The 43 lbs barely made up for the loss in weight from his lost giant testicle. The French made him ride a POS bike from walmart to make up for less weight and a more streamlined package.
wally world bikes fall apart in a couple months. a trek or giant will last ya 5+ years if you ride more than a couple times a week.
#6 MikeS, stfu... So is a car just a car? If so, everyone would be driving a Hyundai, Kia or Chev Aveo. You probably drive your 2-ton SUV to buy a loaf of bread. FAT aSS
Nice addition, #15 LOL
It's $80, you know paying more gets you more. The wise shopper with $80 in hand would get a hardtail instead of a mushy rear suspesion which is of no useful purpose on a pseudo-mountain bike fit only for light trail and road use.
#6 has a reasonable point, that when you see someone riding down the street, they're doing so on a bike that works and on average isn't going to cost the $500 a bike snob wants you to pay. A used bike can be a good deal, or it can be something treated like crap they sprayed with a hose to look shiney again. Either way get it adjusted at a local bike shop if you can't DIY.
There are worse things than an $80 bike. Walking a long distance from need or even for health benefits might be two of them. Ridden like a road bike with care, and kept properly adjusted you should get your $80 worth out of it, but again I remind you that a rear suspension is a bad idea, get that if you are both spending $600 and really riding it off-road 75% of the time or more.
