Amazon with Trend Line has the 3-pack Capacitive Stylus Touch Pens for $1.80 with free shipping. Features a built-in soft head and is compatible with the iPad, iPhone, iPod, Motorola Xoom, Nook Color, and other touchscreen devices. Excellent Amazon reviews.
I have some concern about this item : This is non brand name item and so many different sellers. How can you tell who sell quality product or who sell junks ?
Bought a cheap stylus for my android phone, do get it to register you have to push so hard that it compresses the soft part and makes me worry about the metal gouging my screen... pass.
Estimated delivery: June 12 through June 28. Expedited shipping would have cost me over $80 if I was dumb enough to choose it. In for a three pack anyway.
These "warm mart" stylii work pretty well on Ipad2. I used an app called neu.notes and can take handwritten notes about the same speed as paper. The good part is you can tag notes for search and even send as a PDF.
Ugh, they are still trying to push these abominations, I think most buyers of these are new users, the curiosity quickly wanes once you go through broken/worn tips faster than the stroke can render on the screen, haha.
The ugly truth is, you probably have to spend a great deal before you find the one that may actually work to your expectations if you plan on using these with serious work.
So there's no confusion. These are not real dedicated notes device replacement tools, but ok for limited very basic usage.

Just bought it. Sold by Warm Mart from Hong Kong lol.
I bought these since they were so cheap. You get what you pay for in this instance.

Better off just using a sharp pointy knife as a stylus if you end up buying this Fake Ben crap.
The Romney campaign uses these for their Etch-A-Sketch.
