Usually these kind of deals renew at around $100 per year after the first three years though I have seen them go as low as $50 per year (of course I would check with them to make sure they aren't pulling something tricky this time.)

You can get a 2 year all sport club membership from Costco for $300. Even if you include the $50 Costco membership fee it still comes out cheaper/year than this deal.

      $550/3 = $183/year

      $350/2 = $175/year

I did have the 3 year prepaid from 24hrfitness (before I found out about the costco deal) and it just expired last month. 24hrfitness did send me a letter in the mail offering another year prepaid at $50 to continue my membership.

At 24 hour fitnasty, the three year membership will not turn into a month-to-month membership. Instead, it expires and you have to find a new deal. I think #2 is talking about starting a new monthly membership, with the first few years prepaid. Those usually cost a lot more and you have to go through a sales rep at a store.

I think the 2 year membership at costco averates to $12.50 per month, but without personal training sessions. I think that's a better deal because I don't need fitness advice or a spotter.

#3, I think you can order the costco membership online without a membership, taxes, and free shipping:

24 Hour Fitness does NOT offer the Lifetime memberships anymore, which is what #1 was asking about, and #6 was referring to. I was also lucky enough to get one when offered and am paying $24 bucks per month. Guess they realized they were losing a ton of money haha.

Any of these places have racquetball? I just can't do regular exercise without feeling like I'm being tortured.

Yeah, I did the prepaid thing a few years back and my yearly renewal is 69.00 a year. Someone got a 24/year renewal, wow, and I found some with a 15/year renewal who got it when they first came out. I am pretty sure that these deals are done. I like the fact that these gyms are all over, and I can work out when I travel. Try to find a deal with a good yearly renewal. #13, yes some of the 24hour fitness have racketball courts, you can do a search on their website.
