Wow, I can't remember the last time I bought something from Creative Labs. Back in the day I use to have Soudblaster cards and even video cards from them in just about every machine I built. Nowadays with decent on-board sound and the fact they don't re-badge video cards anymore I haven't thought about the company in years.
Their MP3 Players are good.
Their devices are pretty nice hardware but they usually screw it up with bad firmware or software that you have to use because of something proprietary. I'm done with them.
I bought an external sound card from creative. Great deal and great service.
I still use the Creative Zen V for recording to mp3 via its line-in. This little sucker keeps on working reliably.
