anybody have any experience with SquareTrade? Looking to get warranty for my dad's GPS
I had a good experience with them when my Samsung 40" LCD HDTV would not turn on properly (it would often show garbled pictures and have an uncontrollable buzz sound).
Within a day of submitting a claim, a repair shop called me for a preliminary diagnostic over the phone. I then sent them photos and a YouTube video of the problem, which after another day they told me that SquareTrade decided it would not be "cost effective" to repair. Instead, I received a payment for the full original amount of the TV through paypal.

so u just kept the tv? i kinda want to get this for ps3 i got on amazon with their nice credit woot
I used part of the funds they gave to repair the TV at a local repair shop (turned out the circuit board was defective). The rest of the money went toward buying another TV.
