The remote works great for me, but when I finally tried the repeater gizmo, it didn't work well at all.

Great deal for the price, their midrange remotes are usually close to $20 delivered w/o the RF station or an LCD. I just wish they were a bit more specific about specific models of gear supported though they do upgrade it if required (and if they have data on the device you need to control).

I've got two of these, and I love them. This is a fantastic remote, easy to use, set up and easy on batteries. If there's a code you need that isn't preset, just call the company, and they'll upload it to your remote, which has a built-in modem. You actually hold the phone right up to the remote. I haven't used the RF much simply because the imagined need to control things from outside the room never materialized. Also, I've got this remote set up to run home theater mode, which works like a charm, and to turn on and off all of my components with a single button push. The more I learn about how to program it, the more I like it. Can you tell I'm happy with it?

I really like mine. I got it to control the TV receiver in the living room from the den with RF. The only real problem I had was running out of memory for all my devices.
