I had this for a few days and didn't like it. I was coming from an LG8100. I went with the new Razr Maxx VE and I love it.
The major differences are the maxx has:
outter media keys
"auto focus" and this makes a HUGE difference in picture quality.
large outer display
I read up on all of the complaints of both and as far as I can tell they fixed all of them. The only issue some have with the Maxx is the rear facing outer speaker.
Besides media keys/outer display the other thing I didn't like about the 8700 was you had to remove the battery to get at the microSD slot.
