Ends 5/11. Meritline has the 360-degree Angle Free Adjustable In-car Holder for iPhone 4/4S for $4 with free shipping. Features foam grip, large suction cup, and multi-angle rotation.
So the title says iPhone but the description says HTC EVO. I clicked through on the link and it doesn't say anything about HTC EVO on their site but it does say: Fit for device width from 1.97" to 2.95". I think you'd probably be safe.
Has anyone actually used one of these? Does it come in handy or is it too much of an annoyance to actually use and you just end up holding your phone anyway?
@Wayno, what kind of fu cking car do you have that has airbags on the windshields? How in the f uck does a windshield mount get in the way, unless it has a arm on it long as a donkey di ck?
I have a holder very similar to this that I got from meritline a year ago for about the same price. Works great. Just ordered this one for the travel bag.
I have a couple of units that look nearly identical except that the arms don't fold down (which is a nice idea, making the unit even more compact). One of the arms is on a spring-loaded slide, making the holder adaptable to pretty much any smartphone.
On the downside, the weight of a smartphone makes the holder vibrate or jiggle while driving. One solution is to mount the holder low, so that the mounted phone is also resting on the dash.
And hey, Ragman, why the tasteless language? You kiss yer mom with that mouth? There's a way to be clever without being coarse.
Actually, RagMaN, many passenger-side airbags inflate upward toward the windshield, then out toward the occupant. this dissipates energy that may have otherwise harmed a smaller person. Try to stay current on technology, donkey d!ck

I notice there's no holder at the bottom, so it's going to slide off easily. Those side grips don't last long.
I have a windshield mount that I use all the time but would like to relocate to an area away from the airbags.
