GoDaddy.com has .COM domain registration on sale for $8 per year (regularly $9). They have good prices from a leading reputable registrar. Ends 8/31 midnight. If you've seen some of the other cheaper registrars, take note, as with many of them you don't actually own the domain you buy!

Also note you NEVER FUCKING OWN THE MOTHERFUCKING DOMAIN NAME no matter who you use. You subscribe to the rights so use it.
Godaddy can rip it from you if it feels like it and then proceed to charge you whatever it wants to get it back.

Agreed...been using them for years and they did exactly that!
Had a client who I billed for annual domain name renewal and hosting...he didn't pay but he got GoDaddy to transfer the name to him without paying me for the renewal that I just paid out of MY POCKET 2 weeks earlier!!!
I was a strong advocate for GoDaddy up to this point but this little experience has turned me against them...
