^ Generally speaking people report either no effect or an improvement using a fuel system cleaner, mostly from removing deposits in the injectors. Whether this matters has a lot to do with whether you have excessive deposits in your injectors or not, generally modern fuel cleans itself fairly well but if a tank sits long term or on a seldom used/low mileage vehicle and creates varnish, then you may be more likely to have gunk buildup. Then again, such a vehicle ought to have a fuel stabilizer added instead of only adding cleaner after the fact.
I mostly agree with superchevy... but do add Chevron's Techron to the very short list of legit products. It's been around for a long time, but used to be hard to find just like Seafoam once was.
Outside of those two, the rest of the decent cleaners are commercial products that are not sold to the consumer.
Wonder whether this might dislodge built up residues from the lines to clog up certain other parts along the fuel line onto the top of cylinders?

The only product that is not snake oil in this category is Seafoam.
I use Tier 1 gasoline.
