This stuff works twice as well. Plus one bottle can do several cars.

3m kits are the best.
You need to wet-sand if the yellowing or scratches are bad enough. Once the plastic polish wears off on these kits in a few months you need to do it all over again.
^ yup, over and over.
someone should just come out with stick on protectors like screen protectors
You need to put a protector on every 6 months. Especially if you use this kit.
1) You need either a kit like this or a fairly abrasive rubbing compound OR fine grit wet-dry sandpaper if the lens is bad and it's the first time.
2) After that, and if subsequent restoration efforts happen soon enough, you can maintain the lens with only plastic polish.
3) You don't need to use sealant unless you want the lens to last 30+ years. Otherwise, the same effort can be saved until the next time you polish it again. An exception might be if you live in a fairly hot climate and the car is parked outside all the time so it has maximum UV exposure... but even then, the alternative is still to just to polish it more often.
I live at 6000 feet above see level and the UV is pretty intense at this altitude. I use the 3 M kit annually.
@awestun, look up lampgard. i put them on my 2003 honda when new, and it has over 150k miles on it; the lens is still clear. gonna put lampgards on my son's headlights after using the 3m kit
This one is good but only good for one use. I use the kit by Mothers that comes with a big bottle of the cleaner/polisher and 2 - 2 sided sanding pads. I have done the headlights on all 4 of my cars, some of them more than once, and still have half the bottle left. Better value IMHO.
Anyone notice the rebate is corrupt and garbled? I reported this to Amazon.com
?? The rebate Ben linked looks fine to me.
