Yeah I'd rather chew on a live animal too but where can you get a cow for $11 delivered?
Maybe I'm just getting lazy but it's also hard to get a cow to stand still while you soak it in teriyaki, then there's the noise the neighbors would object to, PETA swooping in asking what I'm doing with a bunch of little bags labeled Beef Steak, and the garbage man giving me funny looks when he empties the trash.
At some point, DIY just isn't worth it.
