picked one up last time it was going for 4 bux, figured why not, it's only 4 bucks. problem is, this thing isn't powered, so unless you're using it to plug in a few flash drives, don't bother. anything that has huge data transfers like external HDDs or power drawing I/O devices will force this thing to reset sporadically.
