I have one like this that I bought years ago. Blue LED glows when it gets power. Looked good plugged into a blue clamshell iBook . Worked fine. Not much to go wrong.
Mine is not USB 2.0 though.
i have a similar belkin hub. runs 4 devices without any problems.
