Blockbuster is offering a free 4 week trial of their online rental service with coupon code erewards1mspecial. Click on "Have a Promotional Code?" to enter code. Receive 3 DVDs at a time plus unlimited in-store exchanges. It's $35/month after the trial period.
Yeah, I am with #3, I thought all of them closed down as well. They closed all but one of their stores in my area and now have Blockbuster movie kiosks around but those are owned by NCR who makes a big point of saying "Blockbuster Express is not affiliated with Blockbuster."
We had blockbuster online for a while because of the in store exchange. Unfortunately after a few months we ran out of movies to exchange for so that feature didn't prove all that useful. At that point we switched back to Netflix since they had a bigger selection of movies to rent from and we got them quicker in the mail.
As far as I can tell, the only difference between the $19.99 plan and the $35/month play is that the $35 plan includes unlimited in store exchanges vs 5/month for the $20 plan.
Seems a bit of a stretch trying milk people for $35/month just for extra in store exchanges.
Not sure how Ben got to $35/month. Web site lists three disk plan for $20/month. They include games.... if you just use it for games, then it beats GameFly's three disk plan which is $30/month. Does anyone have experience with their game rentals?
LOL just looked. I have GameFly, and I have had Black Ops since it launched, on BlockBuster it says Available: 02/22/2011.
Blockbuster did their best to wipe out the mom and pop video stores throughout North America. Unfortunately for us they succeeded. Now it's Blockbuster's turn to get kicked in the nabs. Thanks Netflix!
You have to click the "Have a Promotional Code?" and enter the code listed above to get access to the free month trial of the $35/month plan. Like I mentioned earlier, the only difference is that the $35 plan gives you unlimited in-store exchanges where as the $20/month plan limits exchanges to 5 a month.
Um, no wonder they're going out of business. $35 a month, give me a break.
WTF prices range from $11.99 to $19.99.
"5 in-store exchanges" what stores?
lol, I thought they closed them all down
They just filed for bankruptcy so they could welsh on their debts. Their stores are still open. Now they want to take you for $35 a month too.

Wow! Then I guess I will keep my $19.99 unlimited exchange rate until they try to raise it.

I guess that answers that question.

I'll stick with the RedBox.
That's expensive. Does this even come with streaming movies?
Thats what she said.
Too much for me
