anyone know if these are anygood? will they work with zoneminder?
#1 these things have been posted off and one for at least two years on this site. I am sure you can search and find something on them.
I hate wireless.
Ever since plugging in a PCI card into my mboard yrs ago and immediately seeing 5 of my neighbors PCs pop up, I said, no way.
Rather have the peace of mind of a secured feed.
I bought a these a few weeks ago for installation at a church.
The wireless part is not so good. Indoors I couldn't get more than about 50', or so. Even when it works, you can only view one channel at a time, so no quad viewing using wireless. I picked up 4x100ft cables for $45 on Ebay.
Normal color picture is okay, not great. The infrared works surprisingly well. However, the camera gets very hot while in infrared mode. No problems, though.
#1, You can get whatever DVR card you want and run them with whatever software you want. I got a cheap $13 card from DealExtreme and use WebcamXP and the church has a decent, dirt cheap surveillance system.
#4, good info ... can you completely "turn off" the wireless part if you do use them "wired"?
#1, I don't know anything about their quality (#4 talked about that), but I believe they should work fine with zoneminder
