I've only read luke-warm reviews on their LCD's. Actually, the only glowing reviews I've read on Viewsonic LCDs are from people who say things like "Wow...this is so much thinner than my CRT! It's great!" and "The image is so much clearer than my CRT!" Basicaly, they are from people who have no real frame of reference comparing the Vewsonic monitors to any of the actual competition...not just their old monitor that's 3-6 years old.
And actually, my Viewsonic CRT is dying. I've had it for over 5 years, but it's getting more and more affected by interference: cordless and cellular phones, turning on a lamp nearby, etc. These didn't used to phase it, but it's starting to go...
I just bought a LCD yesterday, though. It's a Samsung. It seems their positive reviews seem to have more real content like "This looks better than my the Acer, but not as good as the Dell I use at work) which made me feel better about pulling the trigger on the purchase.
