You probably don't want to buy this. The Xtreme Audio X-Fi card is basically not a real X-Fi card. Unlike all the rest of the X-Fi sound cards, it runs it's X-Fi features through software, not through hardware.
Additionally, the X-Fi Xtreme Gamer card sells for around $50 on sale, and it does have the full hardware X-Fi functionality. It will definitely perform much better for games, as well as music.
