Good camera and the price is great, but I'd probably go for the 10 MP K10D myself. 6 MP is small-ish for a DSLR these days.

The Circuit City price shows as $600 with a $100 rebate? What gives?

you can get it elsewhere for about 395 if you dont want to buy @ CC

In addition to Image Stabilization, it also has the dust removal system. This is Pentax K100D Super, not K100D.

The K100 Super supports the new ultrasonic lens that has a built in motor, which focus a lot faster and more quiet.

BTW, I tested the Anti-Shake with my K100 and it works quite well... better than my Lumix FZ20 (moving-lens instead of moving-CCD)

This is a good deal.

6mp is more than sufficient #1. what a noob, if you're harking over mp, you shouldn't be getting a dslr.

BTW, the picture size of 6M pixels using "good" quality mode is about 3 Mbyte each.
The noise is very low up to ISO 800. ISO-3200 is noisy but 1600 is still very usable.

How about the compatiblity of lenses and options of lenses for this pentax. I'd live to get a canon mark eos but thats way too expensive.
