This is a nice deal, flowers.com charges about 60 bucks for two dozen red roses. I have not used this website before, so not sure if the service is good. Another good source to buy flowers is Hallmark. Many times, I have gotten it through their website.

What's better than a dozen roses on a piano.

What's better than a dozen roses *is* a piano.

I've used ProFlowers before.

The flowers are mailed to the recipient and have usually
arrived in very good condition.

That said... it's not as nice a presentation as when a
real flower delivery person takes the flowers from a
local shop and brings them in a vase with water to the
person you're giving them to. Sometimes the flowers
are a bit droopy by the time they arrive, and in any
case, having the flower person deliver them seems a
bit more classy then having them come with the mail.

But I'll use them again -- I'm a cheap bastard.

and maybe a pianist playing the piano...

Proflowers is a great place to buy flowers from. I've bought flowers from them for my wife on several occassions. The first time I used them I bought 2 dozen assorted roses with a ruby vase, and it only came with 2 red roses out of the bunch. I emailed them my complaint and they sent me 2 dozen red roses and another vase free of charge.

Their customer service is top notch and made me a return visitor. The only thing is you won't want to send these to your loved one's work because the flowers come in a box and you have to arrange them yourself.

With shipping, this is about $40... which is about the same price as the local Conroy's.

I agree with #7 - my local costco has great flowers. They look good and last just as long as any that I've gotten from ProFlowers. Can't beat the price.

Oh, another good thing is Proflowers guarantees their flowers for at least 7 days. If your flowers don't stay fresh for 7 days, email them your complaint and they will more than likely send you more flowers or possibly refund your money.

I once had ProFlowers re-ship an order of roses 3 times because the flowers were crappy. Every batch that they sent were just as crappy as the batch that they were replacing. What a headache.

When your flowers come in a Fedex box, that's how you know the sender cares.

sometimes, shopping at costco just isn't practical (like around valentine's day). The lines are long and flowers run out quickly. this isn't bad. maybe order a nicer box?

how romantic is a box of flowers that have to be arranged and placed in a vase by the recipient? to save excessive FTD charges, simply go to yahoo's yellow pages and search for a florist local to the person you are sending them to. call them directly and place a delivery order. 99.99% sure to get a better price and better quality. ymmv

I buy from Proflowers all the time, and they have very timely service. I'm at work and I just order flowers for the girlfriend, and it says that they ship in the late afternoon, however I find out that they get shipped in the morning. Don't know if it varies on location, but I'm happy that they get there in time before she leaves for work.

I usually buy from proflowers and have always been impressed with their delivery and service. One thing is that you might want to opt out of their mailing list because they tend to send coupons quite regularly.

any reviews from the sw part of us? had issues with other deals flowers were wilted and not worth the hassle.

The woman either gets her flowers from a box or she doesn't get them at all. The guys here downing flowers delivered from a box obviously don't have women of their own. They don't care how they get their flowers. They just want to get flowers. Period.

#13 is not to be trusted. A quick search through his post history can prove that. Because he has no one to buy flowers for, I can safely assume that he has never purchased from ProFlowers before.
