this looks like a nice deal on a bargain HT in a box system. reviews look good.

Decent sound for the price, it sounds like. Don't count on being blown away... unless you're awfully easily impressed.

Almost bought this until I looked at the speakers. They're hard-wired. I have my room pre-wired and I didn't want to do any splicing. The sales person also told me that splicing woud void the return.

all joking aside... how's this for a basic home theater system in a small bedroom? i'm primarily going to be using it for watching DVDs and content from my digital cable box. thanks for your input.

This is a pretty nice deal if you are in the market. Worst Buy sells it for 210, amazon even more.

i bought this HT two days ago and its performing as i expected. as with #6, i use it primarily for a small room so the sound levels are sufficient. the bass may not be great if you are really into big boom, although changing the preset EQs might yield you more bass.

the speakers are prewired so be forewarned if you plan on using your existing high quality cables. they are very generous with the length of wire they give you for your two rears though.

WARNING: this HT does not include any rca cables. so if you plan on using your 360/ps3 on the aux channel, you might wanna get a pair or two of rcas. one for the tv and one of the xbox.
