The only draw back for this player is that it can't be used as an external drive. Still a very nice player though.

agree - just picked up two for my sons. I like the fm radio capability also... So - if downloading music from limewire or usenet - DRM doesnt apply - and - this player has no issue - right? Otherwise - downloading from itunes etc - cannot copy to this device or can you?

I purchased two about an hour ago, total came out to 178 and change with tax and shipping included. Cancelled my amazon order, wasn't going to be shipped til like December 10th and they charged a little more. Good thing about this deal is that it's not a refurb like those woot offers that keep on popping up. Rather go for a new zune for less than a refurb from woot. Also, I think if you missed out online, they have these instore for the same price.

This thing is so great. I will cash in on the BF deal at Radio Shack and get 2 more and free cases. I have an Entertainment Book 20% coupon($80 each).
BTW the upgrade makes them even nicer, just about the same as 2G models. And yes they gobble up all that shared content from LIMEWIRE, Torrents and the Like. If you are even considering these big boy MP3's. Get off the fence, they probably won't get any cheaper. Unless woot starts selling used non-refurbed models.

These stores only use these deals to drive traffic to their sites even when they don't have the item. BestBuy is famous for that with their non-existent $229 Toshiba Laptops.
