Thanks Ben. Snagged one.

Went back and checked and they are all sold out now at that price. Wow, that was fast.

Bought it at amazon.com, but they only have ones from expensive resellers there now. It took about 10 minutes to sell out whatever stock they had for $250.

I can see how some resellers might pick up 10 or more to sell on eBay and other places. I don't know if amazon puts quantity limits on stuff like this or not, as I just ordered 1.

It's amazing that the consensus is the same about the Wii a year later, limited stocks and everybody wants it.

Yeah it's amazing, they've sold 500,000+ a month in the US since it came out and the demand doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

Too many people decided to wait until now to start looking. If you knew you're going to get someone a Wii for Christmas, should have got one month ago. I have several people wanting me to help them find one for about 250, so thanks Ben.

Hey, I'm new here- on the Wii tracker page, it lists times, like 7h or 4d. I assume that means 7 hours or 4 days, but is that time how long ago they sold out, or how long it is expected to be in stock?

I have similar questions. When I see it is in stock in Walmart.com, I went there, and search "fumily fun bundle", I cannot find it. A few minutes later, the tracking history showed that it is out of stock again. Does this tracking really work?

Yes it works! You just have to be lightening fast or they get gobbled up.

BTW, the time stamp is how long since the product first went on sale.

The site shows walmart.com has the Wii in stock...yet when I click on the link, I go to the walmart.com site where I have been unable to find the item no matter how I search for it...and the site still shows in stock. How can I get the link to work???

jodi, i had the same thing happen. After going to 3 or so pages, all I get is a gift card that is good for a wii console, with no guarantee of finding one.

Thanks Ben! Scored one at Amazon.com. They sold out in like 2 minutes. I checked the wiitracker and it was not in stock, reloaded and in stock, ordered, and then checked again and it was out of stock! That's FAST!

I was competing with bargain doc. Unfortunately, I looked away and was talking to my wife for a moment, and missed out. Guess I will try again. It was quick!

As I see it, you have 2 options...

1. Sign up for the RSS feed at http://wiitracker.com/rss.xml. If you don't know what an RSS feed is, look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_feed

2. Camp out on the tracker site refreshing every few minutes looking for any good deals that aren't sold out already. As you can see by the history at the bottom, the $250 deals rarely last longer than 10 minutes, so timing is everything.

It's a lot of work, but sure beats standing in line out in the cold for a couple of hours only to be told they ran out in the first 5 minutes.

Best of luck to you.

Ben should offer a service ($) for messaging folks on their cell phones when Wii's are available online.

using google reader i subscribed with the rss feed, but it only shows 51 items with newest being nov. 21. according to the history and timestamps on the wiitracker site, amazon and walmart had wiis in stock today so i dont know what the problem is.
im hoping that ill just keep refreshing the webpage until it says in stock if the rss feed doesnt work.
