all models have composite out... except the black 360s. everything else has at least composite. mine has both... just didnt buy the HDMI cord yet.

i believe the falcon chip is already in the halo edition 360.
no performance boost. smaller chip, cheaper to produce, runs cooler.. red ring = yet to be determined

i have the halo 3 edition xbox - and - it hasnt crashed or froze on me once. I have 2 other xboxes and hang constantly. Would strongly suggest the halo model with the new chipset - it works!

The new Falcon chip is highly overrated - the RROD is covered by MS for 3 years, and few people will still be using it after the next latest-and-greatest console lands. IMHO, Falcon (and successive chips/iterations) are MS's solution to the inevitable price cuts that will have to follow over the course of the 360's product life cycle. By reducing the lithographic process for the CPU and GPU, optimizing layout with fewer components and for better cooling, yadda yadda yadda, MS is saving themselves a few bucks too. It's brilliant on MS's part, but I tend to think of the RROD as an inherent flaw with the design, and now that they're offering a 3-year coverage on RROD, does it really matter which chip you end up with?
