Go with the new Sanyo HD700, introduced just in October; this has much better reviews (see steve-digicam forums for user reviews). Or go with Canon tx1, which uses less efficient MJPEG video codec (vs Sanyo's H.264/AVC), but is cheaper and has better still photos.

This is not a good price at all when you can do a simple search online and find prices as low as $430, tax free for most people.

If you buy a Kodak z812 IS digital camera, you will find it has mpeg4 HD video recording(1024x720). The price is only about $260.
