agreed with #2. Even with the 20% off, the shoes on Rei Outlet are still expensive, relative to other sites, like Sierra Trading Post. Check the Keen shoes or La Sportiva, for example.

Agreed, #6 - REI's return policy is amazing. I had a pack with weather-sealed zippers that were beginning to fray after 3 years. They offered to repair or refund my money. 3 freaking years and they gave me a full retail refund because the product wasn't available in the store.

That's why they are so expensive, and why I still give them my money.
