GlassesUSA is offering 50% off all eyeglass frames with basic lenses with coupon code MEMORIAL2012. Shipping is free with code. Other offers (not stackable):
i have. came out to be $20 total w/ AR coating. no complaints except for shipping took longer than necessary. they use DHL flat rate when USPS 1st class is cheaper and would only take a couple days for domestic orders. ships from WA. oops, that was for Coastal Glasses w/ their free frame offer. so disregard this post.
anyways, buying glasses online is no big deal. ive used 39$ glasses & coastal. both are decent. my rx is probably expired but they dont check. you can probably get them fitted at your local glasses shop for free.

I've only bought online from Glassesshop.com; have been very pleased....great price and great customer service. Same issue as #2, shipping took a while, but much cheaper than going through a local shop. Got a pair of prescription sunglasses for $35, with all the coatings, etc.
Fitting is not a bit deal, put them on and note where they need bent. Put them in hot water to soften plastic before bending and make gradual rather than sharp bends.
I already ordered my prescription lens from a local store but I want to order the frame online since the local store's prices are so high. I don't really need the designer frame but need something that last. Which store is better for generic frames? Thanks.
^ They won't be able to figure out what frame takes the lenses you have, you'd have to mail the lenses in and have them reground if they can even do that with the equipment they have and if they can it'll probably be more expensive than buying another pair of lenses.
Have any of you bought glasses from here? I have a new prescription, but I'm just a wee bit skeptical of buying glasses online.
