One thing to keep in mind about the larger Skullcandy headphones is that overall they are picky about what you drive them with. They don't seem to like low power devices like a phone or audio player... but do surprisingly well for the money on home stereo equipment.
I have a pair of the Hesh, which after some "break-in" time, sound just fine on home audio... solid bass, nice overall balance with a lack of glaring flaws. Purist audiophile - hardly, but respectable.
But plug them into my Motorola Android phone and UGH!
